Future Leaders in Food Equity Scholarship

Detroit Feedback Loop is seeking to help empower future leaders in the fight for food equity. Today, we announce two $500 scholarships for the Winter 2023 semester at Wayne State University. In addition to funding for tuition, recipients will have the opportunity to be mentored by DFL leaders. With the mentorship program, Future Leaders will gain experience with non-profit management and professional communication. Through volunteerism and leadership training, DFL Future Leaders will have the skills and connections to help ensure food equity in Detroit.


How to apply:

Applications can be submitted with this form.

Finalists will be selected for an interview, which will help to determine the 2 scholarship recipients.


Essay submissions are due September 30th, 2022.

Conditions for acceptance:

-Recipients will volunteer for a minimum of 25 hours with Detroit Feedback Loop or one of our partner organizations (see below) by April 30, 2023.

Food Rescue US, The W Pantry, Auntie Na’s Village, Blessing Box Global, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, Elevate Detroit, PB&J Ministries, Cass Community Social Services
